Well, another Monday is here and well…..the wierd just keep happening.
This morning, a man in Montego Bay Jamaica attempted to hijack a plane to Cuba….a Candien airliner which was already heading to Cuba through Jamiaca…..ok, is it just me or would not it have been much easier to just buy a ticket?
To add to the already controversial “water boarding” rage it was released over the weekend that 2 different suspects were water boarded more than 266 times…….um…um….if it is effective than why would you have to do it to someone 133 times to get information? I have an idea….why not just make them listen to Britney Spears for 1 hour as loud as it can go….they will release all the information you will ever need!
GM announced that as US factories begin to close it will more than likely to begin to build cars in China…yep, China. Increased demand over there for the cars with the big gold gansta logos on the back is fueling this. So, let me see if I get this…..employees will fight to the end with their unions against GM execs to avoid bankruptcy instead of making some obvious concessions…thus losing their plants, jobs and sales to China. Maybe I am just confused but I would think the job and a future would be more important than backing a union that got you into this mess to begin with. I know, I know, I know….peoples parents have all of the pensions, retirement and etc tied up through these unions…but that is a lot of the problem. There is a solution it is just that “your” unions are not willing to give up their salaries to find it. Time to realize this friends…..your unions just gave away the farm and you still could end up with nothing. Common auto workers…TAKE BACK YOUR COMPANIES and retire with what you have rightfully earned. Kick out the unions. (wow, that gave me a headache)
Last week there were “Tea Parties” held all over the United States in protest of the out of control spending being done by our Government. Related stories have called it everything from a GOP rally to…..I love this one…racist. Racist? I do not get where people being completely ticked out overspending moves into racism. If it is in regards to the types of tea being wasted, I think I get it. I firmly do believe that the tea parties in TN only used 1 type of tea, an Oolang Blend…..what were they thinking!!…that is total racism against green tea, black tea, herbal, and Rooibos….what an outrage! (no hate email please….I am not making light of racism just the absurdity of our media and what crap they can pull out of nothing)
Madonna, while riding a horse this weekend, was kicked off but did not face too many injuries…none of them serious. Here is what I wonder….could the horse be the re-incarnation of an African relative of the judge who also kicked her off the adoption process….coincidence? I think not.
And finally, Obama has ordered the cabinet to cut 100 million dollars out of it’s budget….wooo hooo! Oh wait, 100 million? Isn’t that less than .0025% of the budget or the equivalent of me cutting back .25 cents from my monthly budget? Roughly, the same…but you get the idea. I am sooooo glad to see the government working hard to be fiscally responsible. In fact I am so inspired, I am going to cut my own personal budget again….next month I will not purchase that one extra mint for .05 cents from my favorite Mexican restaurant. Whew…I feel so much better about my budget. I think I will put it in my savings account and help the bank thrive!

WEll, seems like you have it covered there. Since our Sunday’s are actually like your Mondays, we’re already on our 2nd work day this week, so our cynicalness (prob. not a word) has scaled down one notch. Wait, what am I talking about? This is Israel, there is no notches to be scaled down! We are always cynical here! hehehhe. Ummm. one random thought??? This is all I can think of this early in the morning: Yesterday was Holocaust Rememberance Day here so everything on TV was about that. I spent like 3 hours watching the NG channel about Hitlers conspiracy theories, and the secrets behind the bunkers, and the attempts to kill him. Did you know there were 44 different attempts on his life w/in his own regiment and that for years the Russians had his remains but told the world that he had escaped and was still alive??? Ok. thats all I got. Sorry!

Just on Old Adolf – there were numerous eye-witness accounts of his Suicide in the Bunker in 1945 (anniversary coming up very soon), However as Russians were the ones responsible for the capture of the bunker and the witnesses were mainly officers of Hitler’s third reich or His close allies, Joseph (no relation i hope?)
Stalin, who was just ever so slightly paranoid and a little whacko – not to mention a murdering despot himself – did not believe Hitler was dead and kept promoting official Russian propaganda that he was alive in hiding somewhere’s for far longer than the rest of the world believed it. In 1993 Soviet records proved the truth that the world had known since very shortly after His actual suicide in April 1945. i was taught english world war history from the 60’s onwards and never believed he was anything other than dead by cyanide poisoning and a bullet to the head.
As for random thoughts… Your first random thought reminded me of the man who back in the 70’s boarded a plane and broke into the cockpit demanding the plane be taken to Miami. The pilot was baffled as the plane was scheduled to fly to Miami already and told the hijacker so. The Hijacker replied – “i’m taking no chances! the last three times i tried this flight it got hijacked to Cuba – this time were going to Miami no matter what” !
As for my random thought? i liked the report from Russia about a man who had drunk three bottles of Vodka (that alone ought to have killed him) and then felt like jumping out of the window of his fifth storey apartment bulding – which he promptly did.
He survived the fall! He then went back home and was being nagged for being so stupid by his wife while waiting for the ambulance to arrive to check him out that he decided the only way to shut out her constant nagging was to jump AGAIN! He jumped a second time. He survived again with only minor cuts and bruises. Once he had regained his drunken senses and was told what had happened he said he was giving up drinking – He is 22 from Moscow – i’m betting that resolution will last about as long as most resolutions!

Nice random thoughts although I find it strangely weird you both mention Hitler. I know it is the anniversary and all but in all the time I have been blogging, no mention of Hitler once. And then today, twice.

Apr 20 (Monday) was Hitler’s Birthday (1899 if you were interested?)
How do i remember this? – It’s also my Mother’s B’day – go figure?
I only mentioned him ‘cos Mo did
(and because Mum and him share a birthday – which was Monday – did i mention that???) 
Today (Tuesday 21st) is The Queen’s (That’s Elizabeth the Second of England and some other places – over 60 at one point – to you) Birthday… She’s 83. (Who sends her a telegram when she reaches 100??)
