I figured since everyone else I know is blogging about their vacation, so would I.
My family and I had an amazing time aboard the Disney Magic Cruise Ship as we visited the Mexican Riviera. Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. If you have never cruised or cruised Disney, it is a must. Absolutely awesome.
But here is my reality, I am home. Now I am back to work, finishing the home projects, mowing the yard, yada yada yada.
This got me thinking…(oh God, help us all- Joseph is thinking again)
What is the ideal way to vacation?
In some countries 10 weeks is the norm (at one time). Sounds great but I get bored after 5 days. And who is at Starbucks to make my coffee? That would completely freak me out…no coffee.
Some people take two weeks at once…ok people, how does you life not completely implode by doing this. I know that a week usually seams to short but I always come back to at least 900 pieces of junk mail, 41 bills, a yard that is pushing regulation basketball goal height, 1,241,981 emails and 412 voicemails.
Some people take the “perfect” three weeks. A week off to prepare, a week to vacation, and a week to recoup from vacation. Now, this actually sounds the most thought out and logical but wouldn’t it just elevate point two? Do these people hit a compounding cycle with the above stats and create a small natural disaster?
So, what is the answer? What is considered a perfect vacation to you? Where, how long and with whom?
Mine is simple. Any place I have never been outside the US (war zones excluded), 10 days, and with family or family and friends.

This is my page and my chance to share with you all the crap I dream up on a daily basis. Here are the simple facts that make up my existence...I live in Nashville (not Nashville Illinois, but Nashville Tennessee), bald for the most part(do have a dusting of brown if it grows in), an avid Hockey fan (one step from face painting), father of a 6 year old (genius child- she takes after me..I mean my wife), husband (I'm pretty sure my wife would kick me out if she could figure out how), and "normal" Christian. What is normal you ask? Who the heck knows..just sounded good when I started the blog.
Read, enjoy and comment often.
